Ruffled Pouch Tutorial By Lee Heinrich from Freshly Pieced

Hi there! It’s Lee here, from Freshly Pieced.

Today I’m going to show you how to make a cute little zipper pouch with pleated ruffles. I’ve seen a lot of ruffled zipper pouches around blogland, but I wanted mine to be a little more tailored than most.

I chose some fabrics from Art Gallery’s Rhapsodia collection for my pouch. Although I’m usually drawn more to blues and greens, I couldn’t resist the warm summery tones of the “Sweet Journey” palette. I loved the big hexagons of the Temple Tiles print for the outside of the pouch, and reflected that in the lining with the smaller hexies from the Folk Vision print.
