Happy Tuesday everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, working on those wonderful sewing machines and starting some great new projects like Friday's Hang it, Charge it! Phone Charging Station. I know I'm definitely going to be making myself one of those for the weekend to come.

For today's Tune Tuesday, we take an exotic journey with a traveling free spirit and join her elegant caravan that boasts vast, glorious treasures from faraway places. Fellow wanderers, I present to you Mystic Traveler, a playlist inspired by the exotic collection by Bari J., Bijoux.

Bijoux_AlbumCover
Taken from the envisioned story by Bari J., Bijoux is all about being free, living wild, having fun, and rocking out! "I see her in dancing barefoot in the desert at night with the stars lighting her way." And with this in mind, artists such as Stevie Knicks, Lykke Li, and Haim come to bask in the moonlit sky while the blazing bonfire creates an atmospheric serenity that can only come from being in the open air.

For more music inspired by this collection, check out our Mystic Traveler Spotify playlist!

Feel free to subscribe to the playlist to add your own songs that inspire the free spirit in you or let us know which songs we should add in the comments below!

Until next Tuesday!

From my musical ears to yours,

Kat

Hey friends!

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend crafting and whatnot. This weekend, I dedicated myself to working on some cross-stitching projects, including a cute, little fox and some adorable mushrooms. And it's truly an amazing coincidence because today's Tune Tuesday is brought to you by one of the most adorable collections I have ever beheld, Indian Summer!

With its cute, little forest animals and adorable native influence, I introduce to you the Forest Friends playlist!

IndianSummer_albumCover
Explore the wilderness with this joyful playlist, beaming with the likes of Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers and Arcade Fire. With songs that capture youth, happiness, and sweet indie-folk sounds, Forest Friends will definitely bring a smile to your face and have you think back on the days where you would build forts with bed linens & run around the yard with your friends, playing tag!

Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend spending time together with the family and survived the slew of April Fool's jokes that were going on yesterday :)

I had a great time with my family and unfortunately succumbed to a few April Fool's jokes, one of them being from my very own state, the lovely Florida, who informed us that the main expressway I use to get to work was shutdown. And all the while I was driving through it, I was wondering, "What in the world are they talking about? It's not closed! OMG, I must be special! I must have beat it! Yes!" Yeah, no, that was not the case. April Fool's on me... LOL

Regardless of what happened yesterday, today is no joke on you. Today is Tune Tuesday's!

Today's Tune Tuesday is brought to you by the lovely Pat Bravo and her bright, groovy collection Carnaby Street.

Ladies and Gents, I give you Carnaby Calling!

Happy Tuesday everyone! How was everyone's weekend and what have you all been up to?! My wekeend was pretty eventful! I went to the circus that was in town this weekend and took a quick trip to the fabric store for a few "beginner's items" that I was missing. Yes, you heard correctly. I'm attempting to sew and it's proving to be a lot of fun! I've already made a pillow for my puppy's head (because if not, it's just a giant pin cushion) and a pointy kitty that actually stands. I'm super excited about it all and I can't wait to start sewing some more!

Per Anais' request, I must show you my creations :)

Collage_sewing
After Picture Note: The pillow has been stuffed and no puppies were harmed in the making :)

It's that time again when the sweet sounds of shared music fill your ears. Today's Tune Tuesday is Elegant Exuberance!

Splendor1920_AlbumCover
Inspired by Bari J.'s collection, 'Splendor 1920', Elegant Exuberance brings together an array of musical artists that range from the classic Edith Piaf to the musicians of today. With a little Parisian flair and those classic upbeat sounds that are timeless, each song adds its own little slice of pie to the 1920s feel. Check it out!

Have Spotify? So do we! Check out our Elegant Exuberance playlist where we will continue to add more songs inspired by this decadent collection! Feel free to subscribe to the playlist and add songs of your own! We'd love to hear your suggestions!

So, until next Tuesday...

Hello everyone! Happy New Year from the AGF family! I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's and that all of you didn't have too much of that Alegria Sangria that Megan was kind enough to share with us.

Well, it's a new year and that means New Year's resolutions. My New Year's resolution for work is to begin writing more on this blog! For those of you that don't know me, my name is Kat and I work in the Design department for Art Gallery Fabrics. I am also the video editor of the company. You can read a little bit more about me here, where I introduced myself on the blog about a year ago and never wrote again (hence the creation of the resolution).

So, as to start my New Year's resolution, I've decided to begin a NEW musical section on the blog called Tune Tuesdays. Why Tune Tuesdays you may ask? Well, I'm a huge fan of music and I'm always inspired whenever I'm listening to David Bowie or a little bit of the Bee Gees (I have a huge musical selection that varies from AC/DC to disco). Plus, the name Tune Tuesdays sounds catchy!

Whenever the time comes for us to make a new video, we always go through one process that has us scratching our heads: song selection. Most of the time, we end up with a batch of songs for each video and wish that they ALL could be included in the end. We practically create soundtracks for all the collections. Unfortunately, our videos can't be full length movies (even though we'd love that) so we end up cutting our selection down to one. But we all know that there can't just be ONE song for each mood.

So Tune Tuesdays is where you get to listen to all those soundtracks inspired by different moods and different collections.

Our first Tunes Tuesday is Notes of Floressence, inspired by our AGF In-House Studio collection Floressence!

Floressence_AlbumCover

Have Spotify? So do we! Check out our Notes of Floressence playlist on Spotify!

Feel free to let me know if there are any additions you'd all like to make and possibly what would be the next soundtrack you'd like to hear!

Kat

The AGF experience at Quilt Market.

Hello hello!

I'm glad you enjoyed our pics from Market, it was soo much work but oh so rewarding in the end!

So you know how they say "a picture is worth a thousand words"? Well that might be true, but because nothing tells the story like a VIDEO, the video-editing genius and graphic design extraordinaire Kat (part of our awesome AGF team lol) made this cool video about our experience at Market.

As you'll be able to tell, it was insanely rolling-on-the-floor-laughing fun and we had the best time ever, I honestly can't complain.

So if you never attended Market you'll be able to see a little bit of what really goes on in there (plus you'll get to see the AGF team making a fool out of ourselves in public lol)

I still laugh everytime I watch it ha! What do you think, is this what you would expect to see at Market? What do you imagine it's like? Do share!

Happy long weekend everyone!

Love,

Pat.
