Fat Quarter Gang - Baby Bows Quilt tutorial by Made During Quiet Time

Hi there! Amy here from the Made During Quiet Time blog.

This quilt uses a traditional block called the Indian Hatchet Album block, in recent years referred to as a Siggie Block.  In the absence of signatures and some careful planning of the fabric layout, the blocks appear to be bows.  So I am calling this layout Baby Bows.  I heavily quilted the negative space so let the bows pop.

Supplies:

Prints - 8 Fat Quarters of the LillyBelle  collection by Bari J,

Warm Sunset Colorway:Garden Rocket Ruby, Rattan Blush, Flowerpop Sweet, Vintage Fence Honey, Henna Stripe Grey, Lacis Spiceberry, Moire Buttercup, Belle Vines Oasis.

Background/Neutral - 3/4 Yards White Linen

Backing - 1 Yard

Binding - 1/2 Yard - Spiceberry

Finished Quilt Dimensions -  36" x 36"

This quilt can be pieced using templates or foundation piecing. I have supplied patterns for both.

When printing your pattern pieces, make sure you choose "actual size" or "100% scale" so that your blocks are the right size.  They should measure 6" finished.
