2014 Fall International Quilt Market- Pt. 1 [AGF]
November 04, 2014
Hello fabric lovers!
We had such a great time at quilt market, but it is good to be home! We know not everyone got the opportunity to attend market, so we wanted to compile a post for all you fabric lovers to see every detail of our time there, and not be out of the loop!
Let's start with the Art Gallery Fabrics Booth!
First we would like to say: Hard work really does pay off! We are so excited to have won second place in the multiple booths category! Go AGF team!
Here are AGF founders Pat and Walter receiving the award on behalf of the AGF family.
The concept of our booth was all about the quilting and sewing community. The main wall was a magnified 3D quilt block.
Inside the booth we had four themed walls with their respective textured wall:
1) Quilting wall! We displayed classical quilt blocks as art canvases and they were accompanied by a textured wall made of wooden thread spools in different sizes:
2) Knit wall: inspired by the knits page on our catalog we created an oversized knitted with knit wall-hanging plus three knit dresses. The textured wall next to it was made of buttons.
3) Handbag wall: as an homage to handbag lovers, we made the same bag pattern (Time to Travel pattern by Pat Bravo coming soon) in different fabric combinations and the textured wall next to it was made of zippers.
4) Voile wall: to highlight the lightness and softness of our voile fabric we made a dress with a train so magestic it was the show stopper. You can't see it here, but the dress flowed in soft waves and it was beautiful.
Aside from those we had four "mini" walls dedicated to #WeAreFabrics. We chose some of our favorite "made with Art Gallery" photos from Instagram to beautify our booth.
In the middle of the booth we had what we called our living room area where visitors could sit to look through our newest collections, or simply talk quilty. Look at that tiny and cute visitor wrapped in one of our Cleta knits!

That's a wrap for the AGF booth. Stay tuned for parts 2 & 3 of the Quilt Market recap where you will see our designers' and the AGF Limited Edition designers' displays!
Happy Sewing
